Life in Ireland
Building a life in Ireland can mean long shifts in hospitals or tech, housing that's hard to find and harder to afford, and family a long flight and a time difference away. Many people are juggling visa and permit decisions, career restarts and raising children between two cultures, often without the extended family who would usually help. It can feel lonely, even when everything looks settled from the outside.
Mantraminds offers a calm, confidential space to talk it through with someone who understands, without having to explain your culture first.
Supporting Indian families across Ireland
Ireland's Indian community has grown quickly in recent years. Many people work in healthcare, especially nursing, and in technology and pharma around Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
What people in Ireland often talk to us about:
- long hospital shifts and rotating rosters;
- work permits and residence stamps that shape when you can change jobs or bring family over;
- the housing shortage and high rents;
- partners waiting to work or rebuilding a career;
- raising children far from grandparents and wider family.
Times that can feel heavier: short, wet winter days, and festivals like Diwali spent far from family.
Our local support page lists free services in your area.

Important information
About our counsellors. Mantraminds is based in India, and we hope to support people wherever they live. Our Well-being Counsellors are qualified and experienced in India, and some hold Indian registrations. Overseas qualifications and registrations do not give anyone registration to practise in Ireland. Our counsellors are not registered with CORU (Ireland's health and social care regulator). When they work with clients in Ireland, they act only as Well-being Counsellors, not as psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists or medical practitioners.
What this service doesn't provide. Our service is not an Irish psychology, psychiatry or medical service. It doesn't provide:
- medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis, or diagnostic assessment;
- treatment of any mental health condition;
- prescribing, or advice on starting, stopping or changing medication;
- medical certificates, reports, letters or certificates for legal, insurance, employment, immigration or court purposes;
- emergency or crisis care.
When to seek care in Ireland. If you have a diagnosed or suspected mental health condition, symptoms that are significant or getting worse, need medication or medical advice, or are already receiving mental health treatment, please seek or continue care with your GP or HSE mental health services. If your counsellor thinks you need clinical care, they will tell you and suggest local services.
Claims and reimbursement. Sessions can't be claimed through the HSE, private health insurance (such as VHI, Laya Healthcare or Irish Life Health) or employer Employee Assistance Programmes, and may not qualify for workplace or employer reimbursement. Please check with your employer before booking.
Your choice. Local services are available to you. By booking, you confirm you've chosen an India-based, non-clinical service instead, knowing the points above. Because our counsellors aren't registered locally, local regulators can't take complaints about them. Please bring any concern to us at contact@mantraminds.com.
In an emergency, call 112 or 999 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. You can also contact Samaritans: Call 116 123 (free).
This doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, including your right to cancel within 14 days (see our International Cancellation & Refund Policy).

How much does online counselling with Mantraminds cost in Ireland?
€35 per 50-minute session, paid one session at a time. Book at least one day ahead. There are no packages or lock-in.
Can I talk to a counsellor in Hindi from Ireland?
Yes. Sessions are offered in English, Hindi and other Indian languages, depending on counsellor availability. Tell us your preferred language when you sign up and we'll match you with a counsellor who speaks it, where we can.
What time are sessions in Ireland?
Sessions run during India daytime hours, within each counsellor's own availability. For example, a 6:00 PM India-time session is at 1:30 PM in Dublin in July and 12:30 PM in January, as clocks change. Your booking page shows every time in your local time. We're not a 24/7 service.
Where can I get free mental health support in Ireland?
Samaritans: call 116 123 (free) (24/7). In an emergency, call 112 or 999. For ongoing care, you can speak to your GP or HSE mental health services. Our local support page lists more free services.
Is this therapy?
No. Mantraminds provides well-being counselling: support with stress, relationships, parenting and life changes. It isn't diagnosis or treatment of a mental health condition. For that, please see your GP or HSE mental health services.
Are your counsellors registered in Ireland?
No. Our counsellors are qualified in India and provide a non-clinical well-being service. They are not registered in Ireland, use only their Indian titles and registrations (always shown with "(India)"), and don't provide psychology services.
Can I claim it on insurance?
No. All sessions are paid directly.
Where are your counsellors based?
In India. Sessions take place online by secure video during India daytime hours, shown in your local time. We're not a 24/7 service.
How will you contact me?
By email, which is our preferred way to communicate, or through the chat on this website. We also ask for your WhatsApp number when you sign up, and use it only if we need to reach you urgently, for example about your safety or a session that can't go ahead.
Can I book a session for today?
Usually not. Please book at least one day ahead (India time). Same-day sessions are offered only in exceptional cases, if a counsellor happens to be free. If you need support today, see the free services on our local support page. You pay when you book.
Do I have to commit to a set number of sessions?
No. You pay for one session at a time and can stop whenever you like.
What if I join late?
Your session still ends at its scheduled time. If you haven't joined within 15 minutes, it counts as a no-show and isn't refunded. If your counsellor is late, we'll make up the time or give you session credit.
How will the payment appear on my statement?
As MANTRAMINDS. You pay when you book. If you cancel in time, we refund the full amount to your card (your bank decides how quickly it shows). If anything looks wrong, email care@mantraminds.com and we'll sort it out.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Your information is stored securely in India and handled in line with our International Privacy Policy.
