Life in Ireland
Building a life in Ireland can mean long shifts in hospitals or tech, housing that's hard to find and harder to afford, and family a long flight and a time difference away. Many people are juggling visa and permit decisions, career restarts and raising children between two cultures, often without the extended family who would usually help. It can feel lonely, even when everything looks settled from the outside.
Mantraminds offers a calm, confidential space to talk it through with someone who understands, without having to explain your culture first.
Supporting Indian families across Ireland
Ireland's Indian community has grown quickly in recent years. Many people work in healthcare, especially nursing, and in technology and pharma around Dublin, Cork, Galway and Limerick.
What people in Ireland often talk to us about:
- long hospital shifts and rotating rosters;
- work permits and residence stamps that shape when you can change jobs or bring family over;
- the housing shortage and high rents;
- partners waiting to work or rebuilding a career;
- raising children far from grandparents and wider family.
Times that can feel heavier: short, wet winter days, and festivals like Diwali spent far from family.

What our service is — and isn't
Mantraminds offers well-being counselling for adults (18+): support with life's everyday challenges. To keep you safe, we're clear about what we don't offer in Ireland:

- No psychiatric consultations or medication
- No sessions for under-18s (we support parents instead)
- No crisis or emergency care
If our team feels you'd benefit from clinical care, we'll tell you honestly and help you find local services.

Important information
About our counsellors. Mantraminds is based in India, and we hope to support people wherever they live. Our Well-being Counsellors are qualified and experienced in India, and some hold Indian registrations. Overseas qualifications and registrations do not give anyone registration to practise in Ireland. Our counsellors are not registered with CORU (Ireland's health and social care regulator). When they work with clients in Ireland, they act only as Well-being Counsellors, not as psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists or medical practitioners.
What this service doesn't provide. Our service is not an Irish psychology, psychiatry or medical service. It doesn't provide:
- medical, psychiatric or psychological diagnosis, or diagnostic assessment;
- treatment of any mental health condition;
- prescribing, or advice on starting, stopping or changing medication;
- medical certificates, reports, letters or certificates for legal, insurance, employment, immigration or court purposes;
- emergency or crisis care.
When to seek care in Ireland. If you have a diagnosed or suspected mental health condition, symptoms that are significant or getting worse, need medication or medical advice, or are already receiving mental health treatment, please seek or continue care with your GP or HSE mental health services. If your counsellor thinks you need clinical care, they will tell you and suggest local services.
Claims and reimbursement. Sessions can't be claimed through the HSE, private health insurance (such as VHI, Laya Healthcare or Irish Life Health) or employer Employee Assistance Programmes, and may not qualify for workplace or employer reimbursement. Please check with your employer before booking.
Your choice. Local services are available to you. By booking, you confirm you've chosen an India-based, non-clinical service instead, knowing the points above. Because our counsellors aren't registered locally, local regulators can't take complaints about them. Please bring any concern to us at contact@mantraminds.com.
In an emergency, call 112 or 999 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department. You can also contact Samaritans: Call 116 123 (free).
This doesn't affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, including your right to cancel within 14 days (see our Cancellation & Refund Policy ).
