Finding the right support in Ireland

Mantraminds offers non-clinical well-being counselling. If you need more support than we can offer, such as care from a doctor, a mental health professional or a specialist service, free and confidential help is available across Ireland, and the options below are a good place to start.

If you are in danger right now

If your life, or someone else's, is at risk, call 112 or 999.

If you need to talk to someone now:

Getting mental health care

Start with your GP

A GP is usually the best first step. Ask for a longer appointment and say you'd like to talk about your mental health. Your GP can talk through how you're feeling and, if it's right for you, refer you to HSE mental health services or another professional.

HSE YourMentalHealth Information Line

  • Phone: 1800 111 888 (freephone, any time). The team can tell you about mental health supports and services near you, including HSE services and the services the HSE funds. It's an information line rather than a counselling service.

When you're ready

Getting the right care comes first. When things feel steadier and you'd like support with family, relationships, work or life changes, we'd be glad to hear from you again.
