person About Dr. Shilpa Pandya

Dr Shilpa Pandya, MBBS, DNB(Psy), is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 12 years of clinical experience across hospital, community and telepsychiatry settings. She is registered with the Delhi Medical Council (DMC No. 125063).

She completed her MBBS from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in 2007 and her DNB in Psychiatry from the National Board of Examinations in 2016. Her clinical experience includes roles at Sion Hospital in Mumbai, ANIIMS in Port Blair and V.M. Salgaocar Hospital in Goa.

Her areas of expertise include psychiatric assessment and diagnosis, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, substance-use disorders and de-addiction care. Her approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive psychotherapy, counselling and family-focused interventions.

As Programme Officer for the District Mental Health Programme in South Goa from 2022 to 2024, she led psychiatric outpatient services, coordinated de-addiction care and organised mental health awareness programmes for schools, healthcare professionals and community groups. She has also provided remote psychiatric consultations to Tibetan communities through the IMPACT-T Telepsychiatry Project.

Dr Pandya is committed to reducing mental health stigma and improving access to care. She consults in Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi and Marwadi.
