Mantraminds offers non-clinical well-being counselling. If you need more support than we can offer, such as care from a doctor, a mental health professional or a specialist service, free and confidential help is available in Suriname, and the options below are a good place to start.

Getting mental health care

Start with your huisarts

Your family doctor (huisarts) is usually the best first step. Tell them you'd like to talk about your mental health. They can assess how you're doing and, if it's right for you, refer you to a mental health professional.

Public mental health services

A Regionale Gezondheidsdienst (RGD) clinic can help you get started. Specialist mental health care is available through the Psychiatrisch Centrum Suriname (PCS).
