Finding the right support in Finland
Mantraminds offers non-clinical well-being counselling. If you need more support than we can offer, such as care from a doctor, a mental health professional or a specialist service, free and confidential help is available across Finland, and the options below are a good place to start.
Prefer English? The MIELI Crisis Helpline has an English line on 09 2525 0116 (Fridays, 9am–1pm), and Nollalinja (116 016) offers support in English day and night. Other services mainly work in Finnish or Swedish, but it's fine to ask whether someone can speak English with you.
If you are in danger right now
If your life, or someone else's, is at risk, call 112.
If you need to talk to someone now:

|---|---|---|
| MIELI Crisis Helpline (in Finnish) | Call 09 2525 0111 | 24/7 |
| MIELI Crisis Helpline (in English) | Call 09 2525 0116 | Fridays 9am–1pm |
| MIELI Kristelefonen (in Swedish) | Call 09 2525 0112 | Mon and Wed 4pm–8pm; Tue, Thu and Fri 9am–1pm |
Getting mental health care
Start with your health centre
Your health centre (terveysasema or terveyskeskus) is usually the best first step. Ask for an appointment and say you'd like to talk about your mental health. They can listen, look at what's going on and, if it's right for you, connect you with a psychologist or other mental health care. If you're employed, you can also speak with your occupational health service (työterveyshuolto).
Medical Helpline 116 117
- Phone: 116 117, for advice when you need care urgently but it isn't an emergency. It's available almost everywhere in Finland.
- Online: InfoFinland (infofinland.fi) explains mental health services in English and other languages.
