Finding the right support in Fiji

Mantraminds offers non-clinical well-being counselling. If you need more support than we can offer, such as care from a doctor, a mental health professional or a specialist service, free and confidential help is available across Fiji, and the options below are a good place to start.

If you are in danger right now

If your life, or someone else's, is at risk, call 911 (or 917 for police), or go to the emergency department of your nearest hospital.

If you need to talk to someone now:

Service How to reach them When
Lifeline Fiji Call 1543 (toll-free) 24/7
Empower Pacific counselling helpline Call 5626 (free on Vodafone, Digicel and Inkk) 24/7

Getting mental health care

Start with a doctor

A doctor at your local health centre or hospital is a good first step. Say you'd like to talk about your mental health. They can assess how you're doing and, if it's right for you, refer you to mental health services.

Hospital mental health services

  • St Giles Hospital, Suva: Fiji's specialist mental health hospital.
  • Divisional hospitals in Suva, Lautoka and Labasa can also help you reach mental health care.

Specialised support

If you're dealing with… Service Contact

If you're worried about a child

If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or 917. Otherwise, contact Child Helpline Fiji on 1325, free and open 24 hours a day. Its counsellors can listen, advise and help you find the right support.

When you're ready

Getting the right care comes first. When things feel steadier and you'd like support with family, relationships, work or life changes, we'd be glad to hear from you again.
