Finding the right support in Denmark
Mantraminds offers non-clinical well-being counselling. If you need more support than we can offer, such as care from a doctor, a mental health professional or a specialist service, free and confidential help is available across Denmark, and the options below are a good place to start.
Prefer English? The support lines below mainly work in Danish, but it's fine to ask whether someone can speak English with you. The Lev Uden Vold hotline (1888) offers support in English.
If you are in danger right now
If your life, or someone else's, is at risk, call 112.
If you need to talk to someone now:
| Service | How to reach them | When |
|---|---|---|
| Livslinien (in Danish) | Call 70 201 201 · chat at livslinien.dk | Daily 9am–5am |
Getting mental health care
Start with your own doctor
Your own doctor (egen læge) is usually the best first step. Book an appointment and say you'd like to talk about your mental health. They can listen, look at what's going on and, if it's right for you, refer you to a psychologist or other mental health care.
Out of hours
- Lægevagt: when your doctor is closed and you can't wait, call the out-of-hours medical service (lægevagten) in your region.
- Capital Region: call 1813, after 4pm on weekdays and at weekends.

If you're worried about a child
If a child is in immediate danger, call 112. Otherwise, contact the social services in your municipality (kommune). Children and young people can talk to BørneTelefonen on 116 111, day and night.
When you're ready
Getting the right care comes first. When things feel steadier and you'd like support with family, relationships, work or life changes, we'd be glad to hear from you again.
