Safety & Boundaries
MantraMinds is designed to be a supportive, everyday resource that people can use as part of their normal lives. This page explains the boundaries of what MantraMinds is intended for, and when other forms of support may be more appropriate.
What MantraMinds Is
MantraMinds is built to support:
- everyday growth, clarity, and self-understanding
- learning how habits, thoughts, and choices affect daily life
- experimenting with small, practical changes that help people function better over time
It is meant to be used proactively and regularly, much like other personal development or learning tools.
What MantraMinds Is Not
MantraMinds is not:
- a crisis or emergency service
- a helpline or on-call support system
- a diagnostic or treatment platform
- a replacement for medical, psychiatric, or psychological care
The platform does not assess risk, diagnose conditions, or provide treatment.
Using MantraMinds Responsibly
MantraMinds is designed for situations where people feel capable of engaging with a self-guided platform.
You should not rely on MantraMinds alone if you or someone else is experiencing:
- immediate danger or safety concerns
- thoughts of self-harm or harm to others
- severe emotional distress that feels unmanageable
- situations requiring urgent, in-person support
In such cases, immediate professional or emergency assistance is the appropriate next step.
Emergency and Crisis Support
If you or someone you know needs urgent help or is at risk, please contact local emergency services or a trusted crisis support line.
For immediate mental health crisis support in India, you may contact the Tele MANAS helpline at 1-800-891-4416, or go to the nearest hospital or emergency care facility.
If possible, having a trusted friend, family member, or colleague with you during such moments can be helpful.
Professional Support
In some contexts, MantraMinds may offer optional access to licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, or therapists through third-party providers.
These professionals operate independently and are responsible for their own clinical judgment, care decisions, and outcomes. Engagement with professional services may be governed by separate terms and policies.
MantraMinds does not direct, supervise, or replace professional care.
Institutional Use
When MantraMinds is offered through a school, university, employer, or organization:
- it is intended as an everyday, preventive resource, not a crisis intervention tool
- it complements existing counseling, employee assistance, or support services
- institutions do not monitor or intervene in individual usage
Organizations are encouraged to maintain appropriate crisis and emergency protocols alongside MantraMinds.
Personal Responsibility and Choice
Using MantraMinds is voluntary.
Each person remains responsible for:
- deciding how and when to use the platform
- seeking additional support when needed
- making personal decisions about care, health, and safety
MantraMinds is designed to empower choice, not replace judgment.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- designing with care and responsibility
- being clear about what the platform can and cannot do
- respecting individual autonomy and privacy
- avoiding harm through over-claiming or misrepresentation
Boundaries are an important part of trust.
